Summer School 2024

What program will Edmonds be using for Summer School?

  • Graduation Alliance
  • The courses are all online and students work independently with the support of their online instructor or may attend the “Drop-In Lab” for additional support from an in-person teacher. 

What are the program dates? 

  • Registration Opens - May 1, 2024    
  • Registration Deadline - June 26, 2024
  • Coursework Completion - July 8 - July 25, 2024  
  • Final Exams Only - July 26 - August 1, 2024  
  • Students may work ahead but Course work and Final Exams have required completion dates.

Is there a fee for Summer School?

  • Credit Recovery - $100
  • New Credit - $300

Multiple credit recovery courses, will have one $100 fee, multiple first time credit courses will have one $300 fee. A combination of credit recovery ad first time courses will have one $300 fee. Payment is due at the time of registration. InTouch is the program the district uses for online payments.
Families who qualify for Free and Reduced Lunch Meals during the 2023-24 school year will have their fee waived

Are students required to attend in person?

  • No, it is all online. Students work independently.
  • Drop-In Lab available Monday-Thursday

What is the “Drop-In Lab” schedule and location?

  • July 8 - July 25, 2024, Monday - Thursday
  • 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
  • Located at Meadowdale High School 
  • Attendance at the drop-in lab is not required

What is considered credit recovery? 

Credit recovery is for students who previously lost credit due to failing grades such as F, NC, or I currently on their transcript. Students will receive a “P” (passing)

What is First-Time/New Credit?

  • Courses you have never attempted to take
  • Limited courses available - offering Personal Finance, PE and Health

Will letter grades be awarded for summer school courses, or are they pass/fail?

  • Credit Recovery - “P” (passing)
  • First Time/New Credit - Letter Grade A-D. 

Is there a cap on how many courses you can complete in summer school?

No, but there are no extensions to the summer school schedule

What happens if a student starts a summer school class and realizes they will not be able to finish the course? What is entered on the student's transcript?

  • Nothing, no entry is made to the transcript
  • No refunds
