Secondary Summer School
Credit Recovery or First Time Credit- Grades 9-12
Edmonds offers a tuition-based online program for grades 9-12. Students will be enrolled in the Graduation Alliance Program for their registered course. Students will have 4 weeks to complete their course assignments and 1 week to complete the final exam. Please note that there will be no extensions; students must finish ALL assignments and the course final by the due date.
Students will work remotely and have the flexibility to complete coursework ahead of schedule, allowing them to finish early if desired. A drop-in lab will be available for in-person support, although attendance is not required. Please be aware that transportation will not be provided.
Credit Recovery
Our program is designed for high school students who need to retake a course they either failed or received an incomplete in during regular school. It is also available for students who may be credit deficient due to other circumstances. Please note that there are no AP or CTE courses offered.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive the corresponding letter grade on their transcript. All students will be provided with information on the requirements for completing the course.
First-Time/New Credit
Students wanting to work ahead to meet their graduation requirements may sign up for courses offered as First Time Credit/New Credit. The available courses are limited to: elective art courses, personal finance, physical education (PE), and health. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive the corresponding letter grade on their transcript. All students will be provided with information on the requirements for completing the course.
The summer school staff will review registrations for approval. Once your registration is approved, the summer school fee will be added to In-Touch, and you will receive an email reminder for payment. Payment must be received by June 24, 2026, for students to be enrolled in summer school.
Tuition
Tuition is a single fee that applies regardless of the number of courses you take. However, if you are enrolled in both credit recovery and new credit courses, you will be charged the higher fee. Please wait for your payment notice. If you believe the fee is incorrect, you may contact the summer school office for assistance.
