Service Model

At the elementary level, students are served in their identified domains through a full-time, self-contained program housed at Terrace Park School. Students will receive enhanced learning opportunities where they investigate complex problems and explore concepts in greater depth and complexity. In math, students will be accelerated one level above the student’s grade level. For more information, please see the slideshow below!

At the middle school level, students are served in their identified domains through English, Humanities, Math, and Science courses housed at Brier Terrace Middle School. In math, students will be accelerated by an additional year. In the other courses, students will receive enhanced learning opportunities where they investigate complex problems and explore concepts in greater depth and complexity. For more information, please see the slideshow below!

In high school, highly capable students can enroll in a variety of advanced coursework. Please see our slideshow for more information!

If Highly Capable students are interested in enrolling in our International Baccalaureate (IB) Program at Edmonds-Woodway or STEM Program at Mountlake Terrace, they are guaranteed a spot! In October, they can attend open houses to learn more about the programs. In November, students will receive a google form from the Highly Capable Department and will need to select their high school option by January 31st.
