Transportation
Challenge students that live outside of the Terrace Park School boundaries will be provided the opportunity to ride the bus from at or near their neighborhood elementary school to Terrace Park and back again. These students will not be able to catch the school bus between their home and their neighborhood school to catch the bus to Terrace Park. It is the parent’s responsibility to get their student to the bus stop in time to catch the bus. Gifted Middle School students that live outside of the Brier Terrace Middle School boundaries will be provided the opportunity to ride the bus from at or near their neighborhood middle school to Brier Terrace and back again. These students will not be able to catch the regular school bus between their home and their neighborhood middle school to catch the bus to Brier Terrace. It is the parent’s responsibility to get their student to the bus stop in time to catch the bus. High school students that choose to attend a high school outside of their service area will not be provided transportation. Eligible students can choose the most convenient stop for them and the family from the list of approved bus stops:
Transportation for these programs is an added value provided by the District. Provision of busing for these programs is not required by governmental mandate as other transportation in the District may be. If circumstances develop that make current service levels in the District impossible to maintain, These transportation privileges and accommodations may be modified or impacted.
