Note: Depending on the type of URL being shared, you may need to make sure that the teacher has been given permission to view or edit the link.

What types of assignments might require a Website URL submission?

Sharing a live version of a Google Doc, Slides, Site, Sheet, Drawing, Form. You will need to make sure your teacher or anyone with the link has permission to view or comment on the document. Do not send an invite message to the teacher when setting sharing permissions unless the teacher has included that in their directions.
Any project involving Website Design or a Portfolio housed online.

Website URL Canvas Assignment Submission - For Students

Creation Date: May 2, 2023

1. Open the Assignment in Canvas

Click on the assignment title

2. Click on Start Assignment

You will see the submission type listed on the assignment as "a website url"

Click on Start Assignment

3. Insert the Website URL in the box provided

Copy the Website URL from the site or document. If it is a Google Doc, Slides, Sheets, you will need to edit the document sharing permissions to allow the teacher to view.
Paste the link in the Website URL text box

Insert the Website URL in the box provided

4. Click on Submit Assignment
