English Language Arts

Middle School English Language Arts

Mission Statement

Our English Language Arts program follows the nationally based Common Core State Standards, placing the ideal of literacy at the forefront of student learning. The goal of our English Language Arts program is to help students develop the skills that promote critical analysis of literary texts, informational texts, and the spoken word, while also elevating the skills for students to become accomplished practitioners of the written language. Further, as these skills are learned and developed, collaboration, discussions, and rigorous expectations are the core of student instruction.
