Nazia Junejo

Nazia Junejo is a teacher at Lynnwood High School, teaching Multilingual Education. She says education is the door to changing what you need to in your life.

"I truly believe education has changed my life and it can change anyone’s if they go for it."

Jimmy Nguyen

Meet Lynndale Elementary Principal Jimmy Nguyen. He is in his 10th year with the Edmonds School District as an administrator. This is his 18th year in education.

“I get to do things that support other people. When times are tough and they need a light at an end of a tunnel, I can bring hope to situations and provide support or clarity. I think Edmonds is a wonderful place to work, I enjoy the care they have for employees. It’s a caring group of people who want to do well for the students.”

Rima Chehade

Rima Chehade is a paraeducator at Hilltop Elementary. Before becoming a para at Hilltop, Rima taught in Canada. She says being a paraeducator is a very different experience. It allows her to work one on one with students, build those relationships, and support them academically and emotionally. “The reward is gained knowing you positively impacted a student's life which makes it all worth it,” she says.

"Being a paraeducator not only means supporting students academically, but it also means supporting them emotionally. Learning starts within the student and it is up to us to recognize their desire to learn. It is truly inspiring to find out that not only are they learning from us, but we are also learning from them."
