Rima Chehade

Rima Chehade is a paraeducator at Hilltop Elementary. Before becoming a para at Hilltop, Rima taught in Canada. She says being a paraeducator is a very different experience. It allows her to work one on one with students, build those relationships, and support them academically and emotionally. “The reward is gained knowing you positively impacted a student's life which makes it all worth it,” she says.

"Being a paraeducator not only means supporting students academically, but it also means supporting them emotionally. Learning starts within the student and it is up to us to recognize their desire to learn. It is truly inspiring to find out that not only are they learning from us, but we are also learning from them."
