Calling All Edmonds School District High School Students! We want to hear from you - apply today for the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Committee.

Applications for the Student Advisory Committee (SAC) are due by Thursday, September 29th, 2022.

What is the Student Advisory Committee (SAC)? Why Should I apply?

The SAC is made up of student leaders in grades 9-12 from each of the district's high schools. Now, more than ever, we need YOUR voice at the table to share what your school communities need and how we can better support students.

Students furthest from educational justice, including students who identify as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), LGQBTIA+, English Language Learners, undocumented, homeless/unhoused, foster, and students with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

Through participating in the SAC, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our Superintendent, Dr. Miner, and other district leaders. You will also develop your leadership, advocacy, and collaboration skills alongside a diverse community of peers. The SAC meets at the District central office (ESC) twice a month; once with Dr. Miner and district leadership, and once to participate in a professional development meeting centered around equity issues.

We look forward to learning more about you and bringing our students directly into the process of creating a more equitable education system across Edmonds Schools.
