Superintendent Advisory Committee

What is the Student Advisory Committee (SAC)?

The SAC is made up of student leaders in grades 9-12 from each of the district's high schools.

Students furthest from educational justice, including students who identify as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), LGQBTIA+, English Language Learners, undocumented, homeless/unhoused, foster, and students with disabilities were encouraged to apply.

Through participating in the SAC, students have the opportunity to work alongside our Superintendent, Dr. Miner, and other district leaders. Students develop leadership, advocacy, and collaboration skills alongside a diverse community of peers. The SAC meets at the District central office (ESC) twice a month; once with Dr. Miner and district leadership, and once to participate in a professional development meeting centered around equity issues.
