Jewish American Heritage Month

May is Jewish American Heritage Month — a time to recognize and celebrate the history, culture, and contributions of Jewish Americans to our nation and communities.

Throughout history, Jewish Americans have enriched every aspect of American life — from science and education to the arts, business, public service, and social justice movements. Their stories are woven into the fabric of our shared history, marked by resilience, creativity, and an enduring commitment to equity and community.

This month offers an opportunity for students, staff, and families to learn more about Jewish traditions, explore influential Jewish American figures, and reflect on the importance of diversity and inclusion.

We encourage our school community to take time this month to honor the rich heritage of Jewish Americans and the vital role they continue to play in shaping our society.
