Installation of new accessible playground is underway.

Looking across the new artificial turf, cork infill playfield, toward the classroom wings.

The Kindergarten play area and trike track have their own area directly outside of the classrooms.

Typical classrooms with casework and a calmdown zone are almost complete.

Typical undercover porch outside of every classroom on the ground level. This area is within the secure perimeter of the building and has door access and visual connectivity to the classroom.

Cedar timber brings the feeling of calm and warmth to the undercover areas.

The split level atrium, thoroughfare, stairs and learning nooks are coming together with final touches.

The City of Lynnwood is currently reviewing the permit set for the College Place Elementary School and Middle School Replacement project. The constructibility report was approved by the board Tuesday 24th February.
The project team is nearing completion of their construction documents and bid set. Bidding is scheduled to take place over a two-day period in early April, followed by a two-day period in mid-May.

Intersection work has started at the new entry way off of Alderwood Mall Parkway, across the street from Lowes! The new driveway will be used as construction access only until the school opens in 2028.
The building permit for the newly named Salish Middle School is being reviewed by the City of Lynnwood. Bidding for all construction packages for the main Building will take place in April.
The New Middle School project has officially been renamed to Salish Middle School, and will be reflected in all news updates going forward.
The final stages of construction at Oak Height Elementary School are taking place and progressing according to schedule. The artificial turf field is fully installed and ready to welcome students when school opens. Playground equipment is being installed and the finished concrete in the gym was poured and is now curing. The gym floor installation is scheduled for the end of February.
Concrete pours in the commons and exterior concrete for landscaping and playground areas have been successful. Landscaping is now ready to receive topsoil. Mechanical system activities are being finalised and building commissioning continues.




Thanks to a Federal grant available through Snohomish County’s Office of Housing & Community Development, plus efforts from ESD’s Student Health Services and other district departments, a new medical facility is being built to provide some optional support for our Meadowdale High School students. The new building is located at the NE corner of campus, with new utility connections, interior work, & site work (parking stalls/sidewalk/landscape) ongoing.


The space conversion project is on track for substantial completion at the end of January. Contractor equipment is currently being removed and cleaning is underway in preparation for occupancy. Furniture has been delivered and some assembly is required.


The fieldhouse is getting down to the final stretch before substantial completion (end of February). Building envelope, HVAC, and fire/life/safety systems will be tested soon. Final finishes, signage, & site work will be wrapping up in the next few weeks. In addition, the new baseball/multipurpose field bleachers are complete, with only a few items left for the pressbox to be operational.
