New Middle School Project Updates
New Middle School: Processes and Permitting Underway
This fall, the City of Lynnwood approved annexation of the New Middle School property into the City of Lynnwood. Following on the heels of this process the Design Team for the New Middle School has begun the SEPA process and the application process for planning and construction permits with the city.
The associated intersection work on Alderwood Mall Parkway has been fully permitted and a bid for the subcontract has been awarded. Construction on the intersection is planned to commence in February of 2026.

New Middle School prepares to transition to construction
The traffic signal work at Alderwood Mall Parkway will be bidding on August 26th at 2:00 PM at the district office. Complete bid package information can be found here:

The New Middle School plan continues to be refined and developed as we near the end of design development and prepare to transition into construction documentation. The design team continues to meet with, and incorporate feedback from district focus groups including staff and students throughout this process. See updated siteplan below.
