Free flu shots available in October to families
Free flu shots available in October to district families
Posted on 09/22/2020
Edmonds School District is committed to helping keep our staff, students, parents and community healthy throughout the entire flu season. That’s why we have partnered with the Seattle Visiting Nurse Association to provide drive-through flu clinics this year. Participants will register for an appointment via the link below and remain in their vehicle for the service to ensure a low-contact experience.
This year, getting a flu shot is more important than ever, as the CDC has stated that you can be infected by both COVID-19 and influenza simultaneously. Symptoms of the flu and COVID-19 are very similar. Protecting your family from the flu will help prevent the transmission of influenza in our community, aid in the reopening of schools and the economy, and safeguard our healthcare systems.
According to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), the best way to protect you and your family from influenza is to receive a flu shot each year. The CDC recommends that everyone ages 6-months and older be vaccinated against the flu.

If you have health insurance, please provide your insurance information during registration. If you do not have health insurance, you will be given a flu shot at no cost. Flu shots are considered preventive care and are not subject to deductibles or copays, so there will not be any cost for participating in the drive-through flu clinic. SVNA is able to accept almost all insurance plans with the exception of Cigna and Tricare.
Please join us and help keep our schools, families and communities healthy and flu free this season!
