There are times when a student does not follow the rules while riding the school bus. It is very important for everyone’s safety that all students follow the bus rules:
- Follow directions the first time.
- Remain seated.
- Keep hands, feet, and objects to oneself.
- Speak quietly.
- Respect others.
In an effort to better communicate when these rules are not followed and improve families and transportation staff coordinating efforts to build students understanding of the rules, misconduct reports are now being mailed to households as needed.
These reports will provide details about what happened, what is expected, and the consequences. Consequences are usually sequential through the school year, ranging from the initial warning to tiered days of suspension of bus riding privileges.
