Edmonds-Woodway Orchestra Director Named Next President of Washington Music Educators Association

Congratulations to Edmonds-Woodway High School Orchestra Director, Karen Helseth, who has been elected as the next President of the Washington Music Educators Association. WMEA represents over 1,500 music educators from around the state and runs the WMEA State Conferences, national music educators division conferences, All-State and All-NW Honor Groups, and the WIAA/WMEA State Solo-Ensemble contest.
Congratulations to Kate Labiak, Band Director at College Place Middle School, who was selected as the Sno-King Music Educators Educator of the Year. This award was presented by WMEA Past-President, Scott Barnes, at the WMEA State Conference this past weekend in Ellensburg.
