Posted on 09/05/2017

TODAY, Thursday, Sept. 7:

We have notified schools and programs districtwide to:

- Hold recess and P.E. as normally held/scheduled, but make alternative arrangements or plans to accomodate limited activity for those with conditions indentified below;

- If a family member/parent specifically requests their student remains indoors please also accomodate.

Schools will work with their nurse or a member of the student services team as needed.

We appreciate everyone's continued understanding and for working with us to make adjustments during these unusual circumstances.

Latest Information:

Lynnwood is at a moderate level this morning. Moderate indicates people with asthma, respiratory infection, diabetes, lung or heart disease, or have had a stroke may begin to have breathing problems.

People with asthma, respiratory infection, diabetes, lung or heart disease, or have had a stroke should limit outdoor activities or do activities that take less effort, such as walking instead of running.

Wednesday, Sept. 6:

After reviewing the Department of Health recommendations, we are going to take the precautionary measure of having all schools and programs Districtwide hold PE and recess indoors for today, Wednesday, Sept. 6. We will continue to monitor and more information on after-school activities and athletics will be sent later today.

Tuesday, Sept. 5:

We are closely monitoring the air quality in our area districtwide and will be evaluating the status of tomorrow's outdoor activities, including: recess, P.E., athletic practices and games and after-school activities.
