Move 60! is going strong in all 23 elementary schools! This is the 7th year of the Verdant-funded program and it is growing! There are several new programs this year, including:

  • Move 60! Early Learning: Meets every Saturday, 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m. at Spruce and Mountlake Terrace elementary schools. This is a free, fun activity time for children ages 3-6. Drop in anytime and play with the whole family! Older siblings are welcome, but an adult must be present. Check out the Move 60! Early Learning website for list of Saturdays.
  • move 60! logoMove 60! Miles: Several elementary schools have running/walking clubs that are meeting either before, during or after school. We are currently training for the March Mile on Friday, March 2 at 4:00 p.m. at the Edmonds Stadium (everyone is welcome!).

  • Move 60! is working with several PE teachers in the district to incorporate more activity options into the school day. Projects include activities at recess, classroom brain boosters, activity clubs after school, family nights, and more!

  • The annual Health and Fitness Expo will be on Saturday, May 19 from 9:00 a.m.-noon. Save the date for this fun, free, family event!
