Hilltop Elementary held their annual Canned Food Drive, collecting 2,909 cans for the Lynnwood Food Bank.

District schools are scheduled to stage food drives throughout the year to ensure the Edmonds, Mountlake Terrace and Lynnwood food banks receive a consistent supply of donated items.

Since mid-October, a total of 22 District schools have collected thousands of pounds of food for the three food banks. The schools include: Madrona K-8; Scriber Lake High; Alderwood Early Childhood Center; Cedar Valley Community School; Edmonds Elementary; Edmonds-Woodway High; Beverly Elementary; Brier Terrace Middle; Chase Lake Community School; Lynndale Elementary; Seaview Elementary; Terrace Park Elementary; Westgate Elementary; Lynnwood High; Mountlake Terrace High; and Mountlake Terrace, Meadowdale, Lynnwood, Hilltop, Spruce, Hazelwood, and Brier elementary schools.

The remaining schools will collect food from now through mid-June. Congratulations and thanks goes to our students, families and staff for their community support and contributions!
