TURNITIN & DRAFT COACH
Purpose:
- Turnitin is a tool teachers use to check student essays, research papers, and other writing projects for evidence of originality, similarity to someone else's work, and whether the writing properly credits original sources. Writing is scored on a similarity scale of 0-100%. The higher percentage means that the work is not original and includes several instances where the writing is similar to someone else's work.
- Turnitin Draft Coach is a tool that works on Google Docs and allows students to check their writing for citations, plagiarism, and grammar before submitting their final work. Draft Coach searches the paper and provides suggestions for editing. This tool is intended to be used before the final paper is submitted.

- Grades 7-12 Staff and Students - Turnitin
- All Grades - Turnitin Draft Coach (recommended for grades 5 and up)

- Student - via Canvas
