Lynnwood power outage affecting remote and in-person learning

Dear families,
A power and internet outage in Lynnwood is impacting Beverly Elementary, Meadowdale Elementary, Meadowdale Middle School and Meadowdale High School.
Cohort A Students
If your student is in Cohort A and you are able to pick them up, please come as soon as you are able.
Middle and High School Bus Riders
If your student is in Cohort A and rides the bus, we will offer transportation home. Meadowdale High School buses will leave the school at 11 a.m. Meadowdale Middle School buses will leave at 12 p.m.
Elementary School Bus riders
District buses will be leaving Beverly and Meadowdale elementary schools at approximately 12:50 p.m. A parent or guardian must meet their student at the bus stop. If there is not a parent or guardian, the student will stay on the bus and come back to their school. The bus will then transport them home at their regularly scheduled bus time.
Elementary School Walkers
Students who walk to and from school will need to wait at school until their parent or guardian can pick them up.
Cohort B and C Students
Students and families relying on remote learning will not have access to district resources including Zoom instruction until the power is restored.
The remainder of the day is an asynchronous learning day for all four schools.
The power outage is due to a collision on SR 99 that impacted a utility pole.
We will follow up when power is restored.

Un apagón de electricidad e internet en Lynnwood está afectando a las escuelas Beverly Elementary, Meadowdale Elementary, Meadowdale Middle School y Meadowdale High School.
Estudiantes del grupo A
Si su estudiante está en el grupo A y usted puede recogerlo, por favor venga tan pronto como pueda.
Estudiantes de secundaria y preparatoria que toman el autobús escolar
Si su estudiante está en el grupo A y toma el autobús, le ofreceremos transporte a casa. Los autobuses de la Meadowdale High School saldrán de la escuela a las 11 a.m. Los autobuses de la Meadowdale Middle School saldrá a las 12 p.m.
Estudiantes de primaria que toman el autobús escolar
Los autobuses del distrito saldrán de las escuelas primarias Beverly y Meadowdale aproximadamente a las 12:50 p.m. Un padre o tutor debe recibir a su estudiante en la parada del autobús. Si no hay un padre o tutor, el estudiante se quedará en el autobús y regresará a su escuela. Luego, el autobús los llevará a su casa a la hora en la que regularmente está programado el autobús.
Estudiantes de primaria que caminan a la escuela
Los alumnos que van y vienen caminando a la escuela tendrán que esperar en la escuela hasta que sus padres o tutores puedan recogerlos.
Estudiantes del grupo B y C
Los estudiantes y las familias que dependen del aprendizaje remoto no tendrán acceso a los recursos del distrito, incluyendo la instrucción de Zoom, hasta que vuelva la electricidad.
El resto del día es un día de aprendizaje asíncrono para las cuatro escuelas.
El apagón se debe a un choque en la carretera 99 que afectó a un poste de servicios públicos.
Daremos seguimiento cuando vuelva la electricidad.
