Woodway Center gifted with art supplies

Woodway Center gifted with art supplies

Posted on 12/16/2021

This fall Woodway Center opened its doors to serve 168 Edmonds kindergarteners and preschoolers. Our community wanted to show support to this new learning community with a generous donation of art supplies.

This week ArtSpot owner Tracy Felix hand delivered $1,400 in art supplies to Woodway Center.

Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation, Art Start Foundation (Mary Olson - benefactor), and Joyful Art Fund (Sue Robertson – benefactor) all chipped in. Purchasing the supplies through ArtSpot was an added bonus, it not only supported a local business, but Felix was able to meet or beat larger chain prices while offering higher quality products that will last longer.

The Edmonds School District extends their sincere thanks for the generosity of these local art organizations.

Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation board member Jennie de Mello e Souza shared, “This gift speaks to our mission of supporting art exploration and education in our local schools. We are excited to see works from the class of 2034 grace the walls in our Student Art Exhibit at this spring’s Festival.”
