Edmonds School District will only be offering our Highly Capable Program for students/families who choose full time in-person learning for the 2021-22 school year. The district provided online (fully remote) option will not be offered as a Highly Capable Program. Any Highly Capable Program family/student choosing the district provided online learning program for next school year will be able to re-enter the Highly Capable Program at the semester, or at the start of the 2022-23 school year without additional testing.

 

Online learning programs

The online learning programs offered by the district will be different from the 2020-21 school year’s remote learning model. Students will not be enrolled in their current school/special program(s). Instead, these online learning programs will be their own schools with their own teachers and staff.  

•  Edmonds K-8 Online Academy
  Kindergarten through 8th grade students who choose to be fully remote will be enrolled in the Edmonds K-8 Online Academy. This program will be a similar experience to remote learning that took place in the 2020-21 school year. The district will share more specific details this summer about the Edmonds K-8 Online Academy.
• Edmonds eLearning Academy
  For our 9th-12th grade students choosing to be fully remote for next school year, they will be enrolled in the Edmonds eLearning Academy. You can find more information on the school’s website.

En este momento, sólo ofreceremos nuestro Programa de alta aptitud para los estudiantes/familias que elijan el aprendizaje presencial a tiempo completo para el año escolar 2021-22. La opción en línea proporcionada por el distrito (totalmente remota) no ofrecerá el Programa de alta aptitud. Cualquier familia/estudiante del Programa de alta aptitud que elija el programa de aprendizaje en línea proporcionado por el distrito para el próximo año escolar, podrá ingresar de nuevo al Programa de alta aptitud al inicio del semestre o al comienzo del año escolar 2022-23 sin necesidad de realizar pruebas adicionales.

 

Programas de aprendizaje en línea

Los programas de aprendizaje en línea que ofrece el distrito serán diferentes al modelo de aprendizaje remoto del año escolar 2020-21. Los estudiantes no estarán inscritos en su(s) programa(s) escolar(es) actual(es). Más bien, estos programas de aprendizaje en línea formarán sus propias escuelas con sus propios maestros y personal.  

 

• Academia en línea Edmonds K-8

Los estudiantes de kínder a 8º grado que elijan estar en aprendizaje completamente remoto estarán inscritos en la Academia en Línea Edmonds K-8. Este programa será una experiencia similar al aprendizaje remoto que tuvo lugar en el año escolar 2020-21. El distrito compartirá más detalles sobre la Academia en línea Edmonds K-8 este verano.

 

• Academia Edmonds eLearning

Para nuestros estudiantes de 9º a 12º grado que eligen estar en aprendizaje completamente remoto para el próximo año escolar, se les inscribirá en la Academia Edmonds eLearning. Usted puede encontrar más información en
