Financial Support
Free/Reduced School Meals
Students can get free breakfast and lunch at school if their families have a certain income and number of people in their home. Families need to fill out a form every year to get these free meals. Some schools give free meals to all students, but it's still important for families to fill out the form. This helps the school keep giving free meals to everyone. Also, if families agree to share their information, students can get extra benefits for school activities.
School Activity Support
Fee waivers will be granted to students who participate in the WSAC College Bound Scholarship program or qualify for free or reduced-price meal benefits and have consented to share their data with other programs within the District.
If you need a waiver, here's what you should do:
- Fill out the meal benefits application on the Food & Nutrition Services website
- Once your application has been approved, you will receive an approval letter from the District with a “consent to share” form attached. (Since your financial data is private, the District needs your permission to use your free / reduced status for programs other than food service.)
- Sign and return the form to the District.
- Once your form has been received and processed, the District’s point of sale system will automatically adjust the price of waivable items to $0.00. This will work for in-person transactions as well as online transactions.
Examples of waivable items include but are not limited to:
- ASB Cards
- Athletic Participation Fees
- ASB Club Fees
- Class Fees

District Provided Hotspots
We will be suspending service to all district-issued hot spots starting June 26th. We are asking families to return devices to their student’s school’s main office by June 30th or in August when buildings re-open. We will be updating equipment, and the devices currently issued will not be reactivated in the fall.
In September, if your student needs internet access to complete school work, please contact your school.
Due to a lack of additional funding from Congress, the Affordable Connectivity Program has ended for now. Effective June 1, 2024, households will no longer receive an ACP discount.
