If you are enrolling a student in middle school, the enrollment process and location have changed. Please read this page for important information before visiting a school.
New student enrollment, including kindergarten, for the 2024-25 school year continues. We offer online enrollment, please follow the steps to complete online enrollment:

What Grade Level?
Use this chart to determine your student's grade level based on their birthdate.
Note: Edmonds School District may require additional steps or testing to determine grade level placement.
Required Documents
Whether you enroll online or in-person, you must provide the following documents. Please bring originals and copies.
- Student's Proof of Birth: Birth Certificate or Passport
- Proof of Residency in the parent/guardian's name: Rental/Lease Agreement or a current utility bill (gas, electricity, water, sewage)
- Student's vaccination/immunization information: Physical Vaccination Record or Doctor's Office/Clinic printout.
Elementary or High School Enrollment
If you are enrolling a student in elementary or high school, please use Edmond's online enrollment process. If you need assistance, please contact your local elementary school or high school. Use this site's directory to find a phone number or an email address.
Middle School Enrollment
In Edmonds School District, middle schools serve students in the 7th and 8th grades. 6th grade students are taught at elementary schools.
***Do not go to a middle school to enroll your student.***
To enroll a middle school student, please enroll them online. If you need in-person assistance, please email or call to schedule an appointment. Appointments are held at the Education Services Center (district office).

Student Enrollment Checklist:

Confirm enrollment eligibility
- Is your student at least age 5 by August 31 of the year entering school?

Gather required documents
- Proof of residency (for ex. utility bill)
- Certification of Immunization Status (go to myirmobile.com to download your student’s immunization status)
- Proof of age (for ex. birth certificate or passport)
- If applicable - previous school information (report card or transcript)
