Welcome to Edmonds School District!

Our district serves over 20,000 students in 35 schools. Our students live in Brier, Edmonds, Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace, Woodway and unincorporated Snohomish County. 

New Student Enrollment

In the Edmonds School District, students are assigned to a school based on the address where the student physically resides. Find your school. Students are required to enroll in their attendance area school unless they have applied to and have been approved to attend a different school within the district. 

Student Enrollment Checklist:

  1. Confirm enrollment eligibility: Is your student at least age 5 by August 31 of the year entering school? View this chart to determine grade level.
  2. Gather required documents: Student's Proof of Birth, Proof of Residency and Student's Immunization Records. See "Required Documents" section below.
  3. Begin online enrollment: Use the "Enroll Now" button below to begin the  process through the Skyward online tool. 
  4. Complete fillable forms:  Download these forms, complete and save them, and upload into the online enrollment process via Skyward.
  5. Finalize online enrollment: Submit the online application, including required documents and fillable forms and receive email enrollment confirmation.

Required Documents

Whether you enroll online or in-person, you must provide the following documents. 

  1. Student's Proof of Birth: Birth certificate, passport, religious, hospital, or physician’s certificate showing date of birth, an entry in a family bible, an adoption record, an affidavit from a parent, a previously verified school records, or any other documents permitted by law.
  2. Proof of Residency in the parent/guardian's name: Rental/Lease Agreement or a current utility bill (gas, electricity, water, sewage)
  3. Student's Immunization Records: Physical Vaccination Record or Doctor's Office/Clinic printout. (go to myirmobile.com to download your student’s immunization status)

In-person Assistance

If you would like guidance from school or district office staff, please read the following about receiving in-person assistance. Please bring the required documents with you as they are necessary to enroll your child. 

Elementary School or High School

For in-person assistance, please visit your local elementary or high school.

Middle School

For in-person assistance, please schedule an appointment.

Middle school enrollment assistance is provided the Edmonds School District Educational Services Center:  20420 68th Ave W, Lynnwood, WA 98036

Appointments are required to ensure a registrar is available to enroll your student(s).
