Move 60!MOVE 60!: A grant funded program in all 22 elementary schools and Edmonds Heights K-12

UPDATE 4/17: In April of 2017, the Move 60! program was granted another 3 years of funding through Verdant Health Commission. It was a unanimous decision to continue providing our elementary schools and families with this highly effective and FUN exercise/activity program. Moving forward, we will be adding additional programming that will allow students in levels Pre-K through middle school, more opportunities to be active before, during, and after the school day. Stay tuned for more information as we head into the 2017-18 school year by checking the website, or by following us on Facebook at "Move 60 - ESD". Thank you for all of your support!

Move 60! is wrapping up its sixth year in Edmonds School District.  Thanks to Verdant Health Commission, the program will continue to provide our students with the opportunity to get their 60 minutes of physical activity 4 days per week!  We appreciate the generosity of Verdant to be able to offer this free program to students in grades 2-6 (currently).  The goal for the Move 60! program is to increase opportunities for student exercise/activity outside of the typical school day.  The intention is to fight childhood obesity, improve student chronic health issues, offer an opportunity to play sports, and to provide the physical, social, and emotional benefits of extra exercise for our students.

Thank you Verdant Health Commission for your continued funding and support of the Move 60! program in Edmonds School District!
