Washington Comprehensive Assessment Program (WCAP)

Announcements

 6/11/18:  PRELIMINARY Spring 2018 Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBA) Test Scores are being posted to Skyward and available to view via Family Access as the scores become available.
- Preliminary SBA scores are posted under the test name of PRELM.
- Preliminary Off-Grade scores for high school IEP students are posted under the test name of PREOG.
- If you do not see your child's scores, check back again later this month as not all tests have been scored as yet.

Official paper score reports will be sent to families in the early fall.
At that time, when final test results are posted to Skyward they will be posted under the test name of WCAP.

Note: Test results for EOC (HS End-of-Course exams) and WCAS (Science) tests, as well as scores for students who took SBA paper/pencil tests as an accommodation will not be available until the fall.

6/11/18: Test Windows for the 2018-19 School Year have been identified.
Keep in mind that specific test dates within these windows will vary by school.

The Various State Assessments

Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBA)

Description: SBA is an assessment system used by states belonging to the Smarter Balanced Consortium.  Meeting standard on the high school SBA is a graduation requirement for most students.

Washington Comprehensive Assessment in Science (WCAS)

Description: The WCAS is the latest Washington State science assessment for students. It is taken by students in 5th, 8th, and 11th grade in the Spring.  For more information about the WCAS, please click here.
