High School Options
All comprehensive neighborhood high schools have feeder patterns which are decided by a students’ home address. The offer Career and Technical Education courses, College in High School (CIHS), Advanced Placement (AP) and during junior and senior year the option of Running Start. They also provide transportation and a wide variety of clubs, activities and athletics.
Edmonds-Woodway High School is a comprehensive high school and is home to the Architecture/CAD Career and Technical Education program. Students in grades 10-12 from all neighborhood high schools are eligible to participate.
Lynnwood High School is a comprehensive neighborhood high school. Lynnwood High is also home to the Applied Engineering & Manufacturing Career and Technical Education program which is available to all district students in grades 10-12.
Meadowdale High School is a full service, comprehensive high school that offers unique academic opportunities that allow students to pursue the arts and areas of special interest. Advanced Placement and College in the High School programs are available starting in the sophomore year. Meadowdale is home to the Edmonds Career and Technical Education programs:
- Health Care Professions
- Automotive Technology
The Healthcare professions classes give students the opportunity to explore career options in the high demand medical field. The nationally recognized Automotive Technology program gives students relevant, hands-on experience in the automotive industry.
Mountlake Terrace High School is a comprehensive high school and is home to the Carpentry Career and Technical Education program. It’s an intra-district program available for all district students in grades 10-12.
The Mountlake Terrace STEM Program offers a rigorous Honors Diploma, including Pathways in Aerospace, Computer Science, or Bio Technology. It also offers an Exploratory Diploma that allows students to explore multiple pathways, during their four-year high school career. The STEM disciplines correspond with a range of student elective choices including Advanced Placement, College in High School, music, sports and other classes based on student interests.
STEAM Program at Lynnwood High
The Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) Program launched at Lynnwood High last school year. Students can earn a STEAM diploma, which recognizes studies in the following pathways:
- Advanced Manufacturing Pathway
- Computer Science and Engineering Pathway
- Health Sciences Pathway
- Environmental Sciences Pathway
STEAM courses are available to all Lynnwood High students.
International Baccalaureate Program (IB) at Edmonds-Woodway High
The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program at Edmonds-Woodway High offers a comprehensive and rigorous academic experience designed to equip students for collegiate success and lifelong learning. The curriculum encompasses advanced courses across various subjects, including Science, Math, English, History, and World Languages, as well as elective options. Beyond academics, students are strongly encouraged to engage in extracurricular activities such as music, sports, and various clubs. While the program is automatically available to students residing in the Edmonds-Woodway High service area, those from other local high schools are welcome to apply.
Scriber Lake High School
Scriber Lake High School is a school of choice and a small alternative learning high school with approximately 200 students. Students who attend Scriber Lake are expected to meet all district and state standards and they graduate with an Edmonds School District diploma. Many students are more successful with experiential learning and classes are offered to meet these needs. Students are also more successful due to small class sizes, more one-on-one attention, and careful monitoring of progress.
Edmonds eLearning Academy
Edmonds eLearning Academy is a school district funded, comprehensive online high school that offers students the option to take classes in a flexible online environment. Students can be full-time or part-time. Part-time students are by special exception and home school principal approval only. Students can take both new and/or credit recovery courses. Classes are available as a part of the student’s six-period courses. 7th period enrollments are not permitted. All student course work is available via the internet. No special equipment is needed to participate other than access to a computer and a good internet connection. Classes are semester-based and students are expected to complete their course within the semester in which they are enrolled. Students can work through more than one course in a semester if they are motivated to complete their credits quickly or through credit recovery.
Edmonds Heights K-12
Edmonds Heights K-12 is a school for families who want to individualize the education of their students in a Family Partnership Program. At EHK12, students attend classes on campus, as well as engage in home learning directed by their parent or guardian. It is one of two ALE (Alternative Learning Experience) programs in the Edmonds School District.
