WASL Test Dates for the 2007-2008 School Year

April 14 May 2, 2008

Includes testing of all students in grades 3-8 in the following subjects:

·        Grade 3

Reading and Math

·        Grade 4

Reading, Math, and Writing

·        Grade 5

Reading, Math, and Science

·        Grade 6

Reading and Math

·        Grade 7

Reading, Math, and Writing

·        Grade 8

Reading, Math, and Science

 

 

High School

 

November 1-9, 2007: WAAS-DAW Testing

Washington Alternate Assessment System-Developmentally Appropriate WASL retake tests will be available only to those 11th and 12th grade Special Education students whose IEP designates this alternative as appropriate in meeting their graduation requirements.

 

 

Spring 2008 (see specific dates below)

Includes testing of all 10th graders, as well as early testing of 9th graders who choose this option and retakes of 11th and 12th graders who have not met standard in one or more areas.

 

·        March 10 and 11:

Reading (WASL and WAAS-DAW)

·        March 12 and 13:

Writing (WASL and WAAS-DAW)

·        March 17-19:

Math (WAAS-DAW)

·        April 15 and 16:

Math (WASL)

·        April 17 and 18:

Science (not available to 9th graders)

Optional retakes are available to students who were in grade 10 or above during the 2007-8 school year.
