Printer Properties in Windows
From your computer, you can control the copier, like you were standing in front of it. This will save you some time!

Opening the Properties Window
To open the Properties window:
- Open the file you want to Print
- From the File menu, choose Print
- If not already selected, click the Name drop-down arrow and select the COPIER
- Click Properties
- In the Properties window, click the tabs to find the options described below


Properties
Many options available in Properties are described below:
- Basic tab
- Make multiple copies: Use arrow keys or type in number
- Print on both sides (duplex): Select the duplex checkbox
- Layout tab
- Booklet: Create a booklet from individual pages – use multiples of 4
- Multiple pages per sheet: Shrinks each page to fit up to 25 pages per sheet
- Poster: Blow-up a picture to up to 5 x 5 pages (25 sheets). Tape them together once they print to make a poster.
- Finishing tab
- Staple: Can staple every x page – example Word mail merge document of 5 pages per student. Note: Make sure that destination on the Basic tab is set to Tray A (face down)
- Punch: 3-Hole punch the print job. Note: Make sure that destination on the Basic tab is set to Tray A (face down)
- Publishing tab
- Cover mode: Add a cover to the front and/or back
- Page Insert: Insert a page in the middle of the document
- Job tab
- Private Print: Hold the job until you can be by the copier to release it. This is great for confidential documents, large jobs, or jobs that require special paper
- Job Name: Click custom to change the job name so it doesn't overwrite the previous one
- Advanced tab
- Watermark: Add a watermark, for example, DRAFT
