Setting the Default View

To change and set the view as the default, follow these steps:

  1. From the Start menu, choose My Documents (or open any folder containing multiple files)
  2. Click the Views button and select a view
  3. Views: Thumbnails; Tiles; Icons; List; Details

  4. Repeat step 2, selecting different views, until you find the one you like.
  5. From the Tools menu, choose Folder Options
  6. In the Folder Options dialog box, click the View tab, select Apply to All Folders, and click OK.
