How to Burn CDs
Saving information on a CD is called "burning."
Burn a CD to backup important files or share large files (such as photographs, Photo Story videos, and Audacity audio files).
Burning CDs
To burn a CD:
- Open the CD drive door on the left side of the Gateway by pushing the small rectangular button.
- Carefully snap the CD into the drive.
- Close the drive door until it clicks shut
- Select "Open writable CD folder using Windows Explorer" and click OK
- When the writable CD window opens, drag the files and/or folders you want to have on the CD into the window
- When all the files you want to burn are in the window, in the left panel of the window, click Write these files to CD
- In the CD Writing Wizard, type a short name for your CD and click Next
- Wait while the CD burns

Note: If you do not see Write these files to CD on the left panel, choose it from the File menu
