International Exchange Student Information

The Edmonds School District accepts Non-Immigrant International J-1, Exchange Students of foreign nationality visiting this country for a specified period of time (limited to one year) as part of a student exchange program offered by an approved sponsoring agency.

The District recognizes the benefits that are derived from the placement of students from throughout the world into the District’s schools. These benefits accrue for the students, the hosting families, and the school population as a whole.

The procedures and guidelines are set forth in the corresponding board policy 8140, and procedure 8140-R1, which are available from our district website.
