Last Thursday, top teams from 16 elementary schools came together to compete in the Battle of the Books District Championship. Meadowdale Elementary hosted a three-round plus tie-breaker “battle.” Many four-person teams studied the district’s list of Best Books all school-year for a chance to take home one of three trophies. The fairy tale first place finish came from Sherwood Elementary. The Pillsbury Dough People came in third last year and studied hard to come back and capture the top spot. Congratulations to all “Best Book Readers” who earned trips to the district championships!
