The Journalism and Publishing program of study provides students the skills necessary to produce and publish school newspaper and yearbook publications, as well as exposure to career opportunities within the journalism field.  Students will become familiar with photojournalism, graphic design, technical writing, and digital page layout.  Emphasis is placed on the role of media in society, and legal issues as they pertain to First Amendment rights and responsibilities.  This program requires a commitment to meeting deadlines, working as a team, and periods of commitments beyond the school day.
