PlantsHorticulture and Plant Studies

PlantsThe Horticulture and Plant Studies program of study introduces students to the “growing” fields of Horticulture and Floriculture, and provides training in plant care and operation of a plant sale business.  In the Horticulture strand, students gain knowledge and skills in growing and maintaining plants; landscape design and installation; environmental science; and greenhouse/nursery plant production.  Students taking flower shop will learn to make professional flower arrangements, corsages, wreaths, bouquets, dish and basket gardens, and attractive store displays.

* EWHS, MHS, MTHS, and SLHS students take Horticulture and Flowershop as 2-period intradistrict block at Lynnwood High School for part of the school day. Bus transportation is provided.
