9040 R1 - Guidelines for Organizations and Groups Seeking to Raise Funds Through Students
1. Any outside group other than official school parent groups seeking to raise funds from or through students must:
a. have approval from the appropriate assistant superintendent;
b. not be endorsed or sponsored by the associated student body;
c. allow student participation on a voluntary basis;
d. not utilize district materials, supplies, facilities or personnel unless reimbursement is made;
e. coordinate all activities with the school principal
2. Approval of the assistant superintendent authorizes contact with the school principal about the activity. Each principal may or may not elect to allow participation in the activity.
3. Schools shall not serve as collection centers for fund-raising activities by outside groups, unless authorized by the superintendent or designee.
