Brier Terrace Middle, one of four middle schools in the Edmonds School District,
serves almost 600 students in grades 7 and 8.
Our Goals Include:
- Math — Utilize regular problem-solving techniques with real-life content
to bring meaning to mathematical concepts.
- Reading & Writing — Continue school-wide reinforcements of reading strategies to support
success: monitor meaning, visualize, make predictions and inferences, look for the main idea, ask questions,
and make connections/synthesize.
Our Celebrations Include:
- Percentage of seventh-graders meeting standard on the 2007 Washington Assessment of Student Learning:
- Reading: 75.7%
- Math: 51.9%
- Writing: 71.6%
