Maplewood K-8, one of the three K-8 schools in the Edmonds School District,
serves approximately 450 students in grades K through 8.
Our Goals Include:
- Math — Utilize strategic teaching techniques to help students gain the necessary skills
for math achievement.
- Reading & Writing — Improve students’ ability to read and write clearly using the workshop model and common vocabulary across content areas school-wide.
Our Celebrations Include:
- Percentage of fourth-graders meeting standard on the 2007 Washington Assessment of Student Learning:
- Reading: 96.0%
- Math: 84.0%
- Writing: 88.0%

- Maplewood students continue to perform above state and district averages on all portions of the Washington
