Scriber Lake High School, one of the five high schools in the Edmonds School District,
serves approximately 200 students in grades 9 through 12. Download Scriber Lake's brochure to learn more about what
the school has to offer.
Our Goals Include:
- Math — Additional support for students struggling in math includes tutoring in math
classes, Homework Club, intensive remedial math courses, and a school-wide focus on problem-solving strategies.
- Reading & Writing — Silent Sustained Reading time allows students to participate in SSR
with their assigned teacher or join Book Groups geared toward a particular interest, building and expanding
upon a practice already in effect at Scriber Lake High.
Our Celebrations Include:
- Percentage of 10th-graders meeting standard on the 2007 Washington Assessment of Student Learning:
- Reading: 35.3%
- Math: 4.2%
- Writing: 45.3%
- Science: 2.1%
For more scores, please visit the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction's website.
- Nineteen students and teachers John Christensen and Tina Vinnick were able to gain greater understanding
of the rights and responsibilities of citizens in a democracy at Close Up, a seven-day program in Washington,
D.C. in May 2007, thanks to the support of The McNaughton Foundation.
