Mountlake Terrace Elementary, one of the 21 elementary schools in the Edmonds School District,
serves nearly 350 students in grades K through 6.
Our Goals Include:
- Math — Improve students’ ability to compute and solve problems by becoming proficient, thoughtful,
active thinkers who are able to communicate their understanding.
- Reading & Writing — Support staff with use of comprehension strategies and writing instruction by
providing demonstration lessons, opportunities to observe instruction, and collaborative planning time.
Our Celebrations Include:
- Percentage of fourth-graders meeting standard on the 2007 Washington Assessment of Student Learning:
- Reading: 65.0%
- Math: 47.5%
- Writing: 52.5%

- Five different teachers at Mountlake Terrace received grants from the Public Education Foundation of the Edmonds School District,
providing supplies and materials for topics such as non-fiction science (in Spanish and English) and math,
as well as providing the opportunity to offer yoga to students as a recess alternative.
