Martha Lake Elementary, one of the 21 elementary schools in the Edmonds School District,
serves nearly 600 students in grades K through 6.
Our Goals Include:
- Math — Students will increase fluency and efficiency in math computation and number sense in order to
improve their ability to reason, solve problems and communicate their mathematical thinking.
- Reading & Writing — Enable students to become thoughtful, active, proficient readers who are
able to make meaning of what they read.
Our Celebrations Include:
- Percentage of fourth-graders meeting standard on the 2007 Washington Assessment of Student Learning:
- Reading: 80.7%
- Math: 61.4%
- Writing: 72.3%

- In the spring of 2007, students from all grade levels participated in the Arts Extravaganza, an evening
dedicated to celebrating visual arts, music, and performances by students demonstrating the talents and skills
they have cultivated throughout the year.
