Chase Lake Community School, one of the 21 elementary schools in the Edmonds School District,
serves nearly 400 students in grades K through 6.
Our Goals Include:
- Math — Develop meaningful strategies and common vocabulary for improved computation and problem solving.
- Reading & Writing — Organize three Community Reading Nights in 2007-08 to foster a
love for reading with support from families.
Our Celebrations Include:
- Percentage of fourth-graders meeting standard on the 2007 Washington Assessment of Student Learning:
- Reading: 71.4%
- Math: 49.0%
- Writing: 36.7%

- Satellite Libraries have formed with the support of community groups and businesses in two apartment
communities in the Chase Lake neighborhood, bringing books to where students live so that they can foster
a love of reading at home as well as at school.
