Refrigeration

Please check during all breaks: Winter Break, Spring Break and Summer Break

The Food Service Department does not have employees on duty during Winter Break, Spring Break and Summer Break.
The temperatures in the refrigerators and freezers need to be monitored to detect when or if a maintenance call is required.
Please check the temperatures of these pieces of equipment in your school each regularly scheduled workday during this period of time.

THE TEMPERATURE OF A REFRIGERATOR SHOULD BE 35 TO 45 DEGREES F.
THE TEMPERATURE OF A FREEZER SHOULD BE -10 TO +10 DEGREES F.

Each piece of equipment is slightly different. Some have external digital readouts. Some have dials on the outside. Some have hanging thermometers on the inside. If you check a piece of equipment and the temperature is either too warm or too cold, please call Barbara Lloyd at 7073. If she is not in, please leave the information on her voice mail.

Thank you for helping the District control costs by caring for our equipment. In addition, thank you for the support you and your staff provide to the Food Service Program on a daily basis. Your cooperation is deeply appreciated.
