**This date and the early release schedule are subject to change if snow days occur and must
be made up. In light of the weather conditions during recent winters, the Edmonds School
District took steps to prepare a plan in case winter weather severely affects the 2009-10
calendar. The following dates have been designated as possible snow makeup days and are
listed in the order that they would be implemented if necessary:

The 2009-10 District Calendar and Parent Handbook: A Guide to
the New Year! will be mailed to homes at the beginning of September. It is also available
to download from the above-linked web pag. The calendar contains valuable
parent information from a number of district departments. We want you to be aware that the
calendar and its additional contents this year are an effort to consolidate several back-to-school
mailings from several departments in order to not only save postage costs but improve our
support to you in your preparation and start of the new school year.

The key dates for the 2010-11 school year also has been approved by the school board.
