Printing:
We are wasting
a tremendous amount of paper at this school. This is
generally a result of:
1) Students not paying attention to where their print jobs are going.
2) Students not paying attention to how many pages of Internet material
they are printing.
PLEASE!
PLEASE! PLEASE!
Think about what you are printing. Is it really necessary
to have it in paper form? Ask your teachers about turning in
work electronically! |

Students at Mountlake Terrace High School
have individual user accounts. Each student is responsible
for his/her own account and it is necessary to have a computer account
to use most of the computers in the building. These accounts allow
the student to access network resources such as printers, and personal
and public folders. Each student will have a personal folder on
the \\MTHS2 server in which they can store
school work. Students will be able to personalize their computer
workspace, and that workspace will be available from any Windows computer in the building.
With the exception of the Hawkeye publishing room and
the Video Labs, all computers in the building are configured to run
Windows and require students to log on using their own accounts.
Training Class Information:
- Accounts and passwords will be distributed only at
Training Classes.
- In the fall, training will take place in all
computer lab classrooms for classes such as Exploring Tech, Business
classes, CAD and Animation.
- Also in the fall, training will be accomplished in
other freshman classes such as English or Social Studies.
During the first month of the school year, individuals can sign up
for training sessions at the library checkout counter.
- Training of students later in the year will require
the individual student to arrange for training with the library
staff.
