| AP Classes |
Advanced Placement courses are accelerated classes that prepare students to take the standardized AP test in the Spring. Students passing the test receive college credit. Check with prospective college for required score to receive credit. There is a fee for the test, this year it was $83 per test taken. Students need to apply for these courses through the Counseling office prior to registration. |

| CAA |
The Certificate of Academic Achievement is earned by meeting standard on the required sections of the 10th grade WASL. |

| CHS |
College in the High School is a program that allows qualified high school students to take college-level courses within their school and earn both high school and college credit. CHS courses are listed in the AP classes section of the MTHS Course Catalog. Follow the normal registration procedure and contact teacher for more information. |

Contracted Learning for Individual Pacing (CLIP) is an independent study
program for academically capable, self-directed juniors and seniors who are
behind in academic credits and are highly motivated to earn a high school
diploma. Contact a counselor for more information. |

| FIST |
Freshman Instructional Skills Training is a course designed to help students manage
resources and become contributing members of home and community. |

| GPT |
Graduation performance tasks are embedded into existing required classes. The four required GPTs are Career Exploration Project, Investigation Project, Analysis Project and an Action Research Project. More info |

| High School Plus Plan (HSPP) |
A 4-year plan updated each year that maps the courses needed to fulfill graduation requirements while considering Fields of Study, career interests and post-high school plans. |

North East Vocational Area Cooperative - An Intra-district program offering professional-technical courses. More Info |

| Prof Tech Courses |
Courses taken at MTHS which offer college credit. These classes are listed in our course catalog with a Prof Tech College Credit designation on the course listing. To get credit, register for the class at MTHS then apply online at www.netechprep.org. $25 annual fee; Must earn a "B" or better to receive college credit. More info available in Career Center. |

WOIS/The
Career Information System is a private, nonprofit organization that
researches and distributes information about Washington careers,
schools and training programs. At the WOIS website, students can set-up and maintain portfolios pertaining to their career goals. More info: www.wois.org |
