AP Classes Advanced Placement courses are accelerated classes that prepare students to take the standardized AP test in the Spring. Students passing the test receive college credit. Check with prospective college for required score to receive credit. There is a fee for the test, this year it was $83 per test taken. Students need to apply for these courses through the Counseling office prior to registration. Any student meeting a high academic standard
CAA The Certificate of Academic Achievement is earned by meeting standard on the required sections of the 10th grade WASL. All students
CHS College in the High School is a program that allows qualified high school students to take college-level courses within their school and earn both high school and college credit. CHS courses are listed in the AP classes section of the MTHS Course Catalog. Follow the normal registration procedure and contact teacher for more information. Any student meeting a high academic standard and meets pre-requisites for individual courses
CRW Course Request Worksheet All students
CLIP Contracted Learning for Individual Pacing (CLIP) is an independent study program for academically capable, self-directed juniors and seniors who are behind in academic credits and are highly motivated to earn a high school diploma. ELL English Language Learner. ELL is a program designed to help students learn English. Non English speaking students
FACSE Family and Consumer Sciences Education are courses designed to prepare students to manage their personal, family, and career lives. All students
Fields of Study(FOS) Field of Study concentrations are linked sets of courses where students develop skills and understand concepts in depth within a focused area of interest.More info Class of 2008 and beyond
FIST Freshman Instructional Skills Training is a course designed to help students manage resources and become contributing members of home and community. AOS freshman
GPT

Graduation performance tasks are embedded into existing required classes. The four required GPTs are Career Exploration Project, Investigation Project, Analysis Project and an Action Research Project. More info

GRW Graduation Requirement Worksheet All students
High School Plus Plan (HSPP) A 4-year plan updated each year that maps the courses needed to fulfill graduation requirements while considering Fields of Study, career interests and post-high school plans. Class of 2008 and beyond
NEVAC North East Vocational Area Cooperative - An Intra-district program offering professional-technical courses. More Info Available for juniors and seniors
Prof Tech Courses Courses taken at MTHS which offer college credit. These classes are listed in our course catalog with a Prof Tech College Credit designation on the course listing. To get credit, register for the class at MTHS then apply online at www.netechprep.org. $25 annual fee; Must earn a "B" or better to receive college credit. More info available in Career Center. Any student meeting the pre-requisite for Prof Tech course
Running Start (RS) A program for students who attend classes at a community college while still enrolled in high school. Students earn both high school and college credit. More information Open to juniors and seniors
Sno-Isle Skills Center Vocational technical courses offered on the Everett campus of Sno-Isle Skill Center. More Info Juniors and seniors are eligible for this program
WOIS WOIS/The Career Information System is a private, nonprofit organization that researches and distributes information about Washington careers, schools and training programs. At the WOIS website, students can set-up and maintain portfolios pertaining to their career goals. More info: www.wois.org  All students; Class of 2010 and beyond will enter HSPP on WOIS
