New
American Schools
New American Schools (NAS) is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization
whose mission is to increase student achievement through comprehensive
school improvement strategies. To achieve this mission, NAS
works to develop and support conducive environments at the
state, district, and school level necessary for continuous
school improvement. NAS provides a range of consulting services
and partners with high-quality education providers to make
best-in-class services available to public schools.

The
Coalition of Essential Schools
The Coalition of Essential Schools (CES) is a national
network of schools, regional centers, and a national office,
working to create schools where intellectual excitement animates
every child's face, where teachers work together to get better
at their craft, and where all children flourish, regardless
of their gender, race, or class.

Small
Schools Workshop
The Small Schools Workshop collaborates with teachers, principals,
parents, and district leaders to create new, small, innovative
learning communities in public schools. In addition to providing
direct assistance through partnerships with schools, the Small
Schools Workshop actively participates in many initiatives
to broaden and deepen recognition of the importance of school
size to student learning and the role of small schools in
furthering positive whole-school and systemic change. |

NCTAF:
Small Schools Transformation to Success
The National Commission on Teaching & America's Future
(NCTAF) is a nonpartisan and nonprofit group dedicated to
improving the quality of teaching nationwide as a means of
meeting America's educational challenges. This site is focused
on one aspect of school reorganization, the growing movement
towards "small schools." |

Small Schools Project
The Small Schools Project, part of the Center on Reinventing
Public Education at the Daniel J. Evans School of Public Affairs,
provides support to the many new small schools being established
in Washington State and throughout the United States. |

Redesign Network at Stanford University
The School Redesign Network is a learning collaborative that
helps school leaders to develop a broader knowledge base about
school design, teaching and learning, curriculum and assessment,
and professional development, and a deeper understanding of
the features of schools that have been successfully redesigned
to support excellence and equity. |

What
Kids Can Do
What Kids Can Do is a national
nonprofit organization founded in the winter of 2001. They document
the value of young people working with teachers and other adults
on projects that combine powerful learning with public purpose
for an audience of educators and policy makers, journalists,
community members, and students. |

Architects
of Achievement
Architects of Achievement offers facilities design
expertise and educational program planning services for
communities, school districts and organizations engaged in
designing or renovating buildings, to accommodate small
schools of rigor and relevance. |
