Decisions Made

We are Creative Thinkers
We admire people who like to think and do things differently.  Our role models include the Wright Brothers, Albert Einstein, Pablo Picasso, Maya Angelou.  We cultivate creative problem-solving skills and technological savvy, so that we can make responsible and positive changes in our world.

We are writers and speakers, artists and inventors
We are scholars, craftsmen, and citizens in an ever-changing world.  We express ourselves in traditional and innovative ways, including art, poetry, and design.  We learn how to communicate in-depth learning through good writing, speaking, and presentation skills.

We are energetic and involved
We are involved in fun and exciting student-centered activities such as the Innovation girls' sleepover, the Garage Cafe', the Design and Destruct Team, and field trips to places such as the Museum of flight and the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier.

We are diverse
We celebrate different backgrounds, interests, and learning styles.  We draw on contributions from all cultures, races, and ethnicities.  Our creativity is expanded by diverse points of view.

We are college-bound students
We learn English, mathematics, science, Spanish and other college-preparatory subjects to prepare us for two and four-year colleges and universities.  The Innovation School encourages all of its students to prepare for post-secondary education.

We are career-bound students
We investigate the world of work through job shadowing, internships, and in-class career explorations.
