Solid Foundation - Provide a quality high school education in which all students are encouraged to excel in academics, explore their passions, and pursue new opportunities.

Opportunity
Diverse Course Offerings
- Electives are a critical component of a well-rounded education.  We believe that teacher and student interest in their courses is important.  We offer a wide range of elective classes, and encourage students to explore their interests through electives while maintaining a strong academic core.

Personalization - The AOS community is designed to nurture each individual learner.  Additionally, advisory groups ensure that each student has a support network of fellow students and faculty.

High School Plus Plan - AOS will assist the student with their individual High School Plus Plan.  This plan, with the support of community and parent guidance will:  allow the student to alight flexible educational opportunities with their interests; allow the student to pursue their interests through rigorous courses; all the student to explore post-secondary career options; and prepare the student for their future roles as citizens, leaders, and contributors within the global community.

Service
Community Involvement - Teach students how knowledge and practice in meaningful activities results in becoming responsible citizens and contributing members of the their communities.  Students in AOS will have a positive impact on the great Terrace community through organizations such as Link Crew, Honor Society, Medicine Club, ECO Club and other groups.

Service Learning - Students in our school make a difference in their communities!  In their advisory groups, students gain leadership and teamwork skills by completing a yearly service project.
